North West police honour their fallen heroes

Mahikeng - OnSunday 11 October 2015, the top management of the police and the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, and the families of the police who lost their lives in the line of duty, converged at the TTA sports grounds in Mahikeng to honour police officials who lost their lives in the line of duty during the 2014/2015 financial year. 
Capt Paul Ramaloko, police spokesperson, said the event honoured two police officials and a traffic police official.  
Lieutenant Colonel TW Manxusa who was based at the Provincial office of the Police in Potchefstroom, died in an accident on 02 June 2014 in Mahikeng where four members of the Department of Correctional Service also lost their lives.  
Sergeant VMPilane of the Tlhabane police died on 05 July 2014 in Tlhabane. She was fatally shot while mediating in a domestic dispute. This event also honoured Mr GGMoabi of the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, attached to the Bapong Traffic Control. He died during a motorbike accident in Rustenburg. 
The event was graced by the presence of political representatives, community structures and  local chiefs. 
The police commemoration is an annual national event to honour police officials who lost their lives in the line of duty.
